I know this might introduce other issues but has anyone tried inverting the motors to remove the effect of prop wash on the frame? Here is a video of someone who tried this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UkobGpBz4Pg

Another type of foam you can try (I tried this on a small fixed wing airframe after hearing it works well) is to use Tempur foam. They send free sample kits that include a chunk of foam which is more than enough: http://www.tempurpedic.com/our-company/information-kit.asp

Chris,

Unfortunately our aircraft is on the order of 100 grams and the
fuselage is only about 1 cm deep with the area of a credit card which
makes room for large mass and large size hard to come by. I think for
now I might try and mount it on the outside of the aircraft using
Christophe's method of four 4x4x10 mm pieces of packing-foam on the 4
corners of Lisa/M. But the best solution would be to check and see if
the props and motor is balanced and then isolating it with rubber
washers maybe.
