I made some progress in narrowing down this error. It seems like it's 
related to the ivybus buffer

As I was expecting, it is getting full (probably because of the amount 
of data I am sending), the function tries to realloc the buffer and it 
seems to succeed since the message is printed, but that still causes the 
GCS to crash. Could it be that somewhere the GCS is expecting the ivy 
buffer to be a certain size and is unable to handle the new increased 
size properly?

I am comfortable with the airborne software at this point, but the GCS 
end of things is like a black-box to me since it's written in ocaml... 
so any help is very welcome!
