A trivial cause, once again. 

On Sunday, the ground station modem fell down because of a too short USB cable 
and one of the connectors which hold the Xbee broke off. The one that I had 
patched before because I had no uplink. Removed the remainders and soldered a 
new connector in place. 

Now it looks different: 
When I click a strip button, the left middle LED on the Xbee board flashes 
briefly. And the servos rattle (interference!!!). When I click a radio button 
in the settings tab, it takes a moment and then gets activated. 

So I will put the holding point back in. 

It's the third time in this project that I had a contact problem, third time it 
drove me insane. Good luck that the modem fell down, I wouldn't have found it.
