I have changed the name of a low level flag which is used to include
boards specific definitions

in the makefile part or your airframe you used to have something like

ap.CFLAGS += -DCONFIG=\"tiny.h\"

please replace that with

ap.CFLAGS += -DBOARD_CONFIG=\"tiny.h\"
