I populated two new Tiny 1.3's and both worked great. The bootloader installed, the tunnel installed, and both got a fix. One of the boards however failed an hour or so ago. That board was working this morning too, and even accepted the AP code, with the LED's flashing. The last thing we did on the board was a GPS lock, and that worked too.
When I got down to putting the AP code back in, it did not recognize USB, and to verify, It worked OK on the other board. After some nosing around with a multimeter, the 3.3V line was at 4.9V! The 5V line was at 4.9V too. I then powered everything off and sure enough, the input and output ( NOT GROUND ) across the 3V3 regulator was shorted. I removed the regulator, and the 3V3, 5V short is still
there. Any one have any idea where the problem could be? Looking at the schematics, no component uses both 3V3 and 5V, right? So it's more likely a via hole going through the inner layers failing?
