I have almost everything I need to install the paparazzi autopilot in my aircraft except the little molex pins, so I am planning how I will mount all of the different bits on the aircraft(high wing trainer).
I started by searching the wiki, and the mailing lists, and I found some of the information I needed.
I took the information I found, and created a new page on the wiki:
http://paparazzi.enac.fr/wiki/index.php/Hardware_Installation <--- Please take a look and add or edit
I didn't make any links to the page yet, pending some further review.
The parts that are still unclear to me are:
1. Is there a particular way that I should mount the gyro? Does orientation matter?
2. Modem
a. How far away from the receiver and antenna is considered safe?
b. Can the xbee module be within a couple of inches away from the motor and speed controller?
3. Is there any special issue with mounting the autopilot, other than making sure the GPS has good signal?
Thanks,
Cory
