[Paparazzi-devel] NMEA setup for Paparzzi Autopilot? |

Hello,
For the sake of an "Open Source" autopilot I would like to test out non
u-blox GPS modules. As I see currently communication on Tiny to the GPS
module is using the u-blox proprietary protocol.
So to use a non-u-blox module this would require enabling NMEA instead
of the u-blox proprietary protocol correct?
Doing my research. I see in the list archives the topic of NMEA protocol
in three places. Recently in this submission:
http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/paparazzi-devel/2008-01/msg00206.html
Can anyone comment on the direction of Paparazzi with the proprietary
u-blox protocol? Is that expected to continue? Is someone working on a
flag for NMEA in Paparazzi? Maybe I have missed it.
Someone posted an NMEA parser but no one commented on it and it remains
"Untested".
I was hoping to hear Paparazzi Developers were working on NMEA parsers
or non-proprietary u-blox GPS communication in the code they could
share. Again, I may have simply missed it so any info appreciated.
Thank you for your inputs,
David Conger
