Hi Martin,
Hmm, I'm already a member of the dialout group. I don't follow what you say about copying the 10-paparazzi.rules file? I did try this
sudo ./paparazzi
then when I entered my password and paparazzi center started, I loaded the MJ1 airframe and hit clean, then upload. NO errors! I'm not sure if that means it worked, here is what the last bit of info said:
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/dcenterprises/paparazzi/paparazzi3/sw/airborne'
cd sw/airborne; make PAPARAZZI_SRC=/home/dcenterprises/paparazzi/paparazzi3 PAPARAZZI_HOME=/home/dcenterprises/paparazzi/paparazzi3 TARGET=ap upload
make[1]: Entering directory

/home/dcenterprises/paparazzi/paparazzi3/sw/ground_segment/lpc21iap/lpc21iap /home/dcenterprises/paparazzi/paparazzi3/var/MJ5/ap/ap.elf
.

BootLoader version: 1.3

make: Leaving directory `/home/dcenterprises/paparazzi/paparazzi3'
But I did not see any LED's flashing :(
Did it succeed?
Thanks,
Uttam

Hi Uttam,
for USB download as non root you need permission to access the "raw"
USB
bus. You should be member of the dialout group and tell the system to
allow access copying the file "10-paparazzi.rules" as root from
$PAPARAZZI_HOME/conf/system/udev/rules/ to /etc/udev/rules.d
