Hello,
I am writting following this post (Thu, 15 Sep 2005 ) by nisma. Post
can be reached here:
http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/paparazzi-devel/2005-09/msg00011.html
"Hi to all,
becaus i'm unable to contact the project leader on there email,
i post this on the list.
I have a 4 layer board with a ARM LPC2138 CPU, PIC cpu,
pressure sensors, 3d magnetometer and a 2axis acc/gyro combination and
has two connectors for a low cost commercial 2axes acc/gyros sensor board.
Currently, the price for this board is near 160 Euro including GPS
at single piece.
It's possible to mount a cheaper ARM cpu (LPC2132) and to omit some hardware
like pressure sensors, gps, magnetometers, MMC connector and to replace as
example the voltage reference with a led in order to drop the price
in the 50-60 Euro region for a arm + acc/gyro at single piece.
Currently, the arm cpu runs off the internal OSC from the pic processor
at a clock speed of 16 or 32 MHZ and it's directly connected to a 3.7V
battery without voltage regulator.
It's always possible to mount a osc in order to work at full clock speed of
60 MHZ and a PSU for connecting other types of battery.
As note, it's not possible to use a BEC or to use the same battery for
servos or other motors, because this would limit the precision of the
20 bit ADC and introduce possible oscillations to the OP amplifiers.
Theoretically it's possible, without layout modifications using a different
PSU supply for the analog and digital section of the board.
I don't know, if there is enought interrest for such a assembled
board, let me know.
"
I am intersted in this board, and I would like to know how to contact
him. Does anyone know his email?
Thanks!
Jean-Sebastien
