Hi,
is someone of you interrest in buying a 3 axis magnetic compass module
outputting roll/pich/yaw + compass directions
This module is low cost, low precision (only MCU internal 14 bit ad
converter) temperature compensated devices featuring a 0.1 degree
compass resolution or better. The data is valid for X/Y angles from 0 - 60
degree. The HW can resolve 0-360 degree, for this other firmware must be
supplied.
This implies lower update rates.
The compass is a true 3 axis digital compass.
The cost is approximal 50$, if 3 unit are ordered (total).
The current update frequence is 100KH.
Output are:
PWM 100KH duty cycle from 50/50 (0) to 70/30 and 30/70 for pich/roll/yaw
analog or digital (lower resolution - 10 bit) temperature reference
precise voltage reference usable for ad converter.
analog (sin+cos) or digital (i2c/rs232/k2/spi) compass output.
PS: the spi output is not the standard motorola spi one.
I2c and spi can be high speed up to 1MH.
If the digital interface was selected, the pitch/roll/yaw values can be read
on the digital interface too.
A special setup/calibration program is used to change the interface options,
calibrations, update frequency and power management. It's not possible
to change this in flight until special firmware.
