My problem or bug?

Compile fails with:

make[3]: Entering directory `/usr/local/src/Pan/pan/pan/usenet-utils'
g++  -g -O2   -o message-check-test  message-check-test.o
./libusenetutils.a ../general/libgeneralutils.a -lgmime-2.0 -lz -lnsl
-lgobject-2.0 -lglib-2.0   -lgobject-2.0 -lglib-2.0   -lpcre
message-check-test.o(.text+0x15): In function `main':
/usr/local/src/Pan/pan/pan/usenet-utils/: undefined reference to
`g_mime_init(unsigned int)'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[3]: *** [message-check-test] Error 1
make[3]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/src/Pan/pan/pan/usenet-utils'

make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/src/Pan/pan/pan'
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1

make: *** [all] Error 2

Using gmime-2.2.1 compiled from source.

/usr/local/src/Pan/pan#  pkg-config --cflags gmime-2.0
-I/usr/include/gmime-2.0 -I/usr/include/glib-2.0 -I/usr/lib/glib-2.0/include

message-check-test.cc:23 = g_mime_init (0);
