Monitor large log file

Hi,

I am setting up monit to watch for some key words/string in a large log file (can grow up to 10G). I added a few lines containing the string/word to the end of a such log file (7.2G). After restarting monit, I did not get alert as expected.

Is there any limit on the size of log file monit can work with?

Monit is set to scan the file every 60 seconds.
