One site you can use for free Lynx access is:

telnet guest.sailor.lib.md.us

I showed my Mom how to get to this site (dial-up in Maryland is free) so
she can browse without needing an ISP. They use numbered links, which I
am not fond of, but which are probably crucial for text-reader programs
