this has come up twice before, one time being me: see below.
Lynx should honor the instruction ne`V'er to accept a cookie
also in cases where the cookie is invalid: at present, it keeps asking.
obviously, it's a simple oversight when cookie support was added long ago.
it's a daily irritant for me reading the news via Yahoo/Reuter/AP.
please could someone fix it? TD? anyone else? really, it should be easy.

if Ilya is still interested in fixing small deficiencies in Lynx,
there's the bug i reported a few weeks ago: Lynx asks if you want
to accept invalid cookies even when you've said you `neVer' want a cookie.
eg story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=index&cid=514 ,
when you will be asked the question
& even if you say `neVer' you will go on being asked it
each time you follow a link to an individual news story.
it's probably just a tiny omission buried somewhere in the code.

I think cookie_loose_invalid_domains setting in lynx.cfg may help.
Something like
COOKIE_LOOSE_INVALID_DOMAINS:.passport.com,.msn.com,.hotmail.msn.com
You can see invalid domains when they are queried in interactive session.

there are some settings to allow invalid domains but it's possible
that there are more varieties of invalid cookie syntax than you'd want.
PW again: that's not the issue: if you say you NEVER want a cookie,
you shouldn't be asked again by Lynx if you want to accept an invalid one.
