Follow-up Comment #1, bug #64413 (project lwip):

I'm not sure the suggested patch is correct. The call to 'pcap_breakloop()' is
there to let 'pcap_next()' return if it is blocked (no packets arriving?).

Thus, I think we just need to move the call to 'pcap_close()' further down.

Adding the sleep call probably doesn't hurt.
