[lwip-devel] Which reference platform to create unit tests

We're using LwIP on STM32 with MQTT. After reporting this bug, Simon suggested to write a unit test. I would like to know how to compile/run the unit tests outside my STM32 platform? Is there a way to run these directly on Linux or MacOS?
