Follow-up Comment #1, task #13397 (project lwip):
There are a few scenarios, yes. For example, I have some setups with Ethernet
and serial PPP modem, both are connected to the internet. I modified
ip_route() so that packets are returned on the same netif as they were
received. Otherwise, they are always routed back on default_netif and that
doesn't always work.
Another scenario is with overlapping subnets, but I think it is OK if we don't
natively support that.
