Here the patch for static or per-thread variables set for "gethostbyname". Is
it ok for you?

Except that, I think that other suggestions can be delayed to post-1.3.0 (MX
and other types/class request, static host table...). So, the last point which
options to move in opt.h (or at another place). But it's just my point of
view.
