Follow-up Comment #1, task #7499 (project lwip):
I think it may be more useful to put this on top of some genuinely useful
functionality, like per-thread data, than to create macros solely for use by
debug code. For now we can mark them as optional, but if we wanted to change
that, then ports wouldn't have to change anything.
Oh, and you'd need to fix the spelling of THREAD in a few places :-).
