The VPN is the least of my problems. More important is how to set it up with Sip Broker.  I haven´t had a chance to work on that part more, but if you know anything about Sip Broker and have any insights, it would be appreciated.

Is the next problem how to make linphone work with your VPN?
If it is I think you should drop by the IRC channel for interactive help.

Hello Russell,

That seemed to work, but I had to get off the VPN as well. (not sure how to configure to use a VPN) Now that is successful, so we are off to the second problem.  I´m on Windows 10

You didn't tell us what platform you are using, so my best guess is that you need to configure...

networkSettings->udpPort=random
networkSettings->tcpPort=random

then restart linphone.

BTW all registration does is allow you to receive calls.

If you need more help I suggest you try the IRC channel.

Hello,

While I am quite "computer saavy", I am totally clueless when it comes
to SIP.  I have a couple of problems....

First, in the Linphone application there is a message at the bottom
which says:

registration on <sip:sip.linphone.org;transport=tls> failed: io error

What does this mean and how do  fix it?

Second, I have an account on SipBroker.com. The idea is to be able to
call the providers that are listed and have them route the calls to land
lines for free. Am I on the right track with this? If so, what do I need
to do, if not.. what do you suggest? I'm trying to add my sipbroker
account to LinPhone, but so far - no luck.

Thanks!
