Hi Tracy,

and thank you for your answer.
Unfortunatly, I can't answer you precisely.
See, for example :
when I am in Thunderbird, I want to read a message with an attached document in PDF ; I only click on it, and it open it with Acrobat Reader without asking me anything, just as a "universal" application.
Do you see what I mean ?...
But it's not the same with Linphone.
Another example :
if I want to call a number with Skype (it's only an example ! ! !) from a web page from Firefox, I only click on the number phone, and Skype automatically call the number.

What I would want to do, it's the same with Linphone, from Thunderbird, from Firefox (etc...), and without any error if possible. It's all OK under Ubuntu ; why not under Windows ?...
I just precise that extension .sip is set as a mine type with Linphone in my Windows.

Thank you if you an help me.
Bass_man.

Hi Bass_man

What command are you using to start LinPhone?

I use the following when getting Linphone to make a call:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Linphone\bin\linphone.exe" --workdir "C:\Program Files (x86)\Linphone" --call <sip Address>

Regards,

Tracy

Subject: [Linphone-users] Starting Linphone from another application

Hi everybody,

I use Linphone from Windows and Linux PC, and... it's not the same :
- from Linux (Ubuntu 14.04) machine, all is alright, Linphone works perfectly, very perfectly ; it's wonderfull, it's a very good application.
- from Windows (Vista family) machine, I can't run it as same as my Linux machine, though in the same conditions : starting from Thunderbird addressbook, by TBDialout. I have always this error message :
**ERROR**: Could not locate neither gtk/main.ui or ./share/linphone/main.ui. Aborting...
and then :
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please, contact the application's support team for more information.

So, here is why I contact you  ;-)
What solution can be applied to solve this problem ?
Thunderbird is installed in C:\Program Files\Thunderbird
and Linphone is installed in C:\Program Files\Linphone and all its subdirectories and files are OK. (version 3.9.1)

I hope you will be able to help me.
Congratulations,
Bass_man.
