wav only, whatever sample rate, mono, signed PCM 16 bits.
Depending on the codec and kind of music, the result at the other end
can be heavily distorded. Speech codecs such as speex, gsm, and maybe
iLBC are by design unable to encode music properly.
Usually, music with a single simultaneous tone are well encoded, while
complex arrangements and rich sounds sound very noisy.
