$ locate .linphonerc

> $ pgrep linphone

I have .linphonerc. It has no line containing the string "password" or
anything similar;
Try 'passwd'.

there is no clue about the syntax for entering a
password. Is it really possible that the program is designed to have no
access to the password through the GUI? Not impressive.

Maybe Simon can answer the other issues...
