what gives?
I am using
libosip 0.8.5
linphone 0.8.0
compiled on 2 systems
SuSE 7.2 w/2.4.18 kernel
SuSE 8.0
initially OSS sound was used and linphone appeared to work properly.
On switching both these systems to alsa and yes it does work for gnome and
system. Also proper snd.... libs are in /lib/modules/2*/kernel/drivers.
Now connections appear to work however sound is not. On enabling alsa in the
pref it delivers the message recompile with alsa support.
I even tried that with '.config --enable-alsa' configuration. No luck with it.
However your user documentation suggests that no compile is necessary and
switching from OSS to alsa requires nothing. The words are in the document.
What is the solution to this? Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks.
