Hello Tom.
This kind of configuration is usually done at the OS level (in the phone settings).
You may have a list of default applications for different uses (calls, messages, etc.).
Check if you can access this view in your phone and set Linphone as default.
I'm not sure that this will work but this is the way to test it.
