Hi,
Asking "link my account" for non-linphone domains is a bug and will be fix ASAP.
For the friend feature, we will disable it for all non-linphone domains by default. But it will be ON when you log on linphone with your linphone account, a new button will provide you the choice of enable or disable it.
I will update Linphone android beta with this differents fix this week.
Best regards,

WilliamRegards,Kindly fix this urgent , as it is a privacy issue that could affect linphone reputation.I understand if we use for presence on the linphone server to match friends, but this feature must be OFF by default, and also must NO be ask if we use external SIP account "I have a SIP Account".It is a privacy issue very important to be REMOVED. As it is a very bad implementation of security.I totally agree with Anatoli.Linphone iphone is always asking to "link my account" EVEN i use an external SIP server. This is nonsense.

Could the official developers please clarify the situation with the contacts allegedly being uploaded to the linphone.org servers?
From the recent conversation here (subject "sip.linphone.org contacts") it looks like (I haven't confirmed/refuted it myself yet) Linphone uploads all user contacts to remote servers without asking for such permission, or clarifying it in any moment. Is this true?
Thanks,
Anatoli
