That's why I said primitive.
One way to extend it, would be:
- set it up to act like point+click does
- but with its own protocol, going to a logger
- which logs the differences
You would start a new trace by multiple-clicking (for zeros)
at e.g. a preceding rehearsal mark.
And you may need to keep tuplet accounting separate.
