Hmm, but Denemo is already using g_spawn_sync and still experiencing this issue, or am I missing something?

For now I'll disable the autocompilation option for Windows with LilyPond 2.24. Is there any chance the developers might re-instate the lilypond-windows.exe?

I wouldn't be a fan, really, because it would mean shipping the same
(statically linked) executable twice...
