Sorry, I didn't mean to criticize you, but it seemed from the discussion 
that - from the *users* point of view, luaTex was the best option currently.

And I also got the feeling that it was going to lose out on the grounds 
of "too many Tex engines".

So I felt obliged to chime in. And as someone who makes extensive use of 
pdf documentation (and dislikes html strongly), I do feel I have a voice 
on the matter. (Whether it's worth hearing, is another matter :-)
