If you think it's better to make a separate branch for R2004, then I will do.

No need, I was thinking of making a separate branch for  R13-R15, removing the code related to versions after R15, just to create a kind of more stable branch. Or maybe we could simply create some compiling switches to isolate the code for each new version added, but this could be more error prone, do you think it's feasible, as part of your refactoring work?

It's upto you. I have no objection, If you use my work to release
future versions of library.
Infact, I would be very glad to see my work done in coming versions.
But still I request you to check/test in case of any bug, so that
newer version of our library could be as much usable as
possible.

Yes, surely, I'm going to test, but I want first to isolate the code for R13-R15.
