No, I only told you to do that so that you could read from memory the
location where the backlight value is stored. Then you put that value
in libreboot, re-compile and re-flash with libreboot. Using that, the
backlight controls should work properly.

Just follow the same method, but on your X60 Tablet, and you read from
0xe4361254 location in devmem to get the proper value.

I was not telling you to use the proprietary VBIOS in production.
