Thanks guys.

Seems I obviously missed something in the documentation.  Moving
/home/kyle to /home/jail/home/kyle did the trick!

Just one last thing to report
When I ran jk_update for the first time, it failed because it stated I
didn't have a /home/jail/opt directory (as I do have an /opt
directory).  Adding this empty directory (/home/jail/opt) into the
jail did the trick.
