Hello. I'm running RCS 5.7 on Windows
2000. I checked in a revision of an existing source code file. When
I checked it back out at a later date, I couldn't compile. I found that
RCS had deleted a couple of lines from my source file. I figured that I
screwed up something, so I retyped the missing lines, and checked the file in as
a new revision. When I checked it out, the exact same lines has been
removed again. I removed any tabs in the file and inspected the hex to
verify everything looked normal before I check it in. I've also looked
into the corresponding ",v" file and saw that the current version is being
stored with the lines already missing. Therefore, it must be the check-in
that is corrupting the file. This has only happened randomly to a few of
the 500+ files in the repository. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in
advance!!
