Hi Yogan, please keep the mailinglist in CC,

We have installed Octave 5.2.0_1 from the Octave website. Our aim is to connect
Octave with MariaDB, for this reason, we downloaded and installed the packed
below
https://github.com/markuman/mex-mariadb
We are facing problem to install the tool mkoctfile in our Microsoft notebook
and in the Ubuntu too
Installing and compiling third party tools like mex-mariadb often is
easier on GNU/Linux.
We tried to use the following command to install, use and connect out MariaDB
and Octave.
sudo apt-get install liboctave-dev
Tauchen Probleme beim Installieren auf, empfiehlt es sich:
sudo apt-get update
tauchen dann noch immer Probleme auf, kann noch der Aufruf getätigt werden:
sudo apt-get install liboctave-dev –fix-missing
in meinen Fall war das volle Programm gefordert, allerdings glückte dann auch
die Installation
anschließend kann octave neu gestartet und mkoctfile ausprobiert werden, nun
sollte der Befehl bekannt sein
Do you have an idea how to solve this problem?
I don't see any problem yet. Try to focus on Ubuntu if this is okay for
you and not to switch forth and back beetween questions/problems on
Windows and Ubuntu.
And please try to use english (although german is my mother language)
