Hello,

I think this is part of the Linux kernel.
The kernel can be compiled with support for different CPUs (architectures).
Looks like you or Ubuntu have used a kernel with combined 32-bit/64-bit support
before and now it is stripped to 32-bit-only.
On 64-bit hardware you need a 64-bit kernel. There is no hardware emulation for
32-bit. The 32-bit support starts afterwards provided by your Linux system.

Maybe there is another kernel variant you can install with package manager.

Why do you install a 32-bit distribution?

Hope it helps.
Markus
