You must convert the iso file to a bootable DVD  or flashdrive. The iso represents a transformation of a linux system to a single sequential file. Read more about what a Linux ISO file is about.

I do not see such error string in current GRUB sources at all. Could you
attach grub.cfg, otherwise we have no idea what your ISO does.
