I am using debian, and just changed from stable to unstable. I then
upgraded my gnustep, since which time, i have been getting error messages
and my environment is strange. Now using gnustep version 5. Some of the
problem seems to be related to a file called GNUstep.sh, which sets up some
v non-existant directory paths and blank variables. Everytime I start a
shell I am told " /usr/lib/GNUstep/System/Library/Makefiles/user_home: No
such file or directory". In my environment "GNUSTEP_USER_ROOT=" i.e.
nothing, and as GNUstep.sh uses this to set up other library paths I find
setting like
"LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/Library/Libraries:
/usr/local/lib/GNUstep/Local/Library/Libraries:
/usr/local/lib/GNUstep/Network/Library/Libraries:
/usr/lib/GNUstep/System/Library/Libraries
"
 where /Library doesn't exist, nor does the path /usr/local/GNUstep/" lead
further than Local or or Network, thus making the whole LD_LIBRARY_PATH
bogus. This file GNUstep.sh doesn't seem to be working as it should! It
is part of the gnustep makefile package, and doesn't seem to be working at
all well!  HELP.
