Just to be sure, I mean: an incomplete integer.

For sure, any incomplete (unbalanced) sexp is breaking 'read', as the
example "foo or (1 or whatever else; as you are correctly pointing.
But since the cache 'write' an integer, it means it would be an
incomplete integer.
