Look at how your distribution can be updated: From GTick 0.5.0 on, you
can also use Pulseaudio output, supported by most current distributions.
You can also try to look for a "OSS emulation" or similar for your
distribution. From Debian, I know it as oss-compat or similar. That will
give you /dev/dsp.
