Not sure if this is the right place to post but seeing as no team emails are published on the GPSd website ....
The GPSd website seems to suggest that the team have not had sight of NMEA0183 and/or NMEA2000.
The website also provides links to the NMEA website where the going rate is thousands of dollars.
Wikipedia tells me that NMEA0183 = IEC61162-1 and NMEA2000 = IEC61162-3.
Which begs the question as to whether there are any reasons why the GPSD team have not considered purchasing those versions instead which by definition are the same thing but significantly cheaper by many magnitudes ? e.g.
61162-1:2016 @ EUR31.80 (appx USD 34)
61162-3:2008 @ EUR13.08 (appx USD 14)
61162-3:2008/A1:2010 @ EUR 5.74 (appx USD 6)
61162-3:2008/A2:2014 @ EUR 11.39 (appx USD 12)
So two standards, two amendments for approx 66USD.
