Interesting.  Just be aware that there is no real NMEA standard...

Those two do not look correct...

Have we got a deal for you.  Did you look at gpsfake?  Did you notice
all the regression file in tess/daemon?

gpsfake reads any GPS capture file (binary, NMEA, etc), and feeds to
to gpsd.  Check out the man page.  Run "scons check" to watch it work.
