I don't use systemd, so I can not be a good source of sytemd bug reports.

But it does appear that an overwheliming percentage of people that have
problems with gpsd are using it with systemd.  Their problems almost
always go away when they stop using systemd.

Just as the current problem seems all tangled up in systemd.
