Hadn't thought about it from that angle.  I was considering GPses
that don't *require* priming with an ephemeris but start faster if
you do it.

Wait.  WinModems...you're implying that some devices don't retain an
ephemeris in NVRAM at all, aren't you?  Ugh.  That's evil.  Yeah, we'll
just list thoise as "broken".
