sry, i sent the previous email accidentally - i wanted to explain a caveat
with the second patch - it is probably incomplete as-is

the AUR package also deletes all of the files under data/files-to-append/l10n/*
unconditionally, and injects the chosen language ID, if one is chosen, into a
new file: 'custom-shipped-locales' - again, im not sure what was the motivation
for adding only those few files-to-append, rather than applying the change to
all languages; and i also dont know what is the significance of the
'custom-shipped-locales' file - presumably the mozilla build script will honor
it somehow
