gnue-common's resource loader is based upon python's url libs and can already 
load from any source it supports.  So this already should work in almost all 
the gnue tools for at least http://, ftp://, and file:// 

I imagine someone could add svn support since svn provides a python module.  
Not sure how much work would be involved.
