Hi list,
I am interested in the rationale behind the <block rows=".." rowSpacer="..">
syntax.
I think it is a bit unituitive and also in the wrong palce. But I might be
wrong.
In my opinion it should be some kind of:
<layout>
...
<container block="blockname" x=".." y=".." width=".." height="..">
<entry x=".." y=".." width=".." height=".." field="field in block"/>
...
</container>
</layout>
The container block should get scrollbars automagically. There is no need to
tell how many rows are displayed, because height does that.
My problem at the moment is that I can show detail rows, but it is very hard
and unituitive to interact with them. To scroll, I have to give a detail
entry the focus and then use the next recordset button in the toolbar instead
of using a scrollbar. Also it is impossible to bind a button to a row, well
not impossible, but quite hard.
Sorry if I got a bit into ranting, but I would rather spend my time improving
gnue instead of working on workarounds.
Thanks for any comments
Robert
