No hole.  More than likely they sent the mail with a From: Mary
Your mta filled in the missing domain w/ your own.  So "Mary" was a local
user for everyone that got the mail. :)  The headers show they sent the
mail to the list via tomts7-srv.bellnexxia.net and the list did the rest.
