Thanks for the nice tests Pedram and Raul.

To help speed up the tests, Pedram, can you see if this also happens on a
small '--width' also? If so, you can set the '--center' and '--width' to a
small size around a small region like the one I showed in my original post,
select one pixel in the high and another in the low resolution regions, and
see what is happening!?!

The fact that setting '--cdelt' to a smaller value reduces the problem hints
that it has to do with sampling.
