Hi Michael!

Thank you for the config file u posted earlier.. I have one question to ask.

This is my scenario. I am developing a monitoring system which sends out SMSes
to a number of receipients by Linux Crontab. My query is, would the Fastrack
Supreme Modem queue the outbound SMSes as the Crontab would send the gnokii
--sendsms command to the modem in quick succession.

Thank you in advance for your reply. Your help is highly appreciated.

Hi Daniel,

Sure thing.. it is actually small enough to post here.

Hope this helps. With these WaveComm units, it is the same connection style as
you would use for an external 56k modem (AT). So the setup is really simple.

[global]
port = /dev/ttyS0
model = AT
initlength = default
connection = serial
use_locking = no
serial_baudrate = 19200
handshake = hardware
connect_script =
disconnect_script =

smsc_timeout = 10

[xgnokii]
allow_breakage = 0
[gnokiid]
bindir = /usr/sbin/
[connect_script]
TELEPHONE = 12345678
[disconnect_script]

[logging]
debug = off
rlpdebug = off
xdebug = off
