Hello,

I have recently installed gnokii-0.6.12 and hooked it up to my old Nokia 6310i via a serial cable DLR-3P. Running gnokii --identify it has a few attempts to connect to the phone and then tries FBUS which connects fine and identifies the phone.

Using smsd, on first launch it collects all the sms messages and puts them in the database correctly but then I see

Getting SMS Folder (2) status (2)...
Special case IN/OUTBOX in GetSMSFolderStatus!
Message sent: 0x14 / 0x000a

and it continues like that ever more. With no new sms messages being read and moved to the database.

If I stop smsd and re-run it, all new and old messages are copied to the database and then the above happens again.

I am not an expert in the operation of gnokii and smsd but I think the software is timing out or phone is getting confused so sms messages are not getting deleted on the phone and no new sms messages can be retrieved. My gnokiirc is:

[global]
port = /dev/ttyS0
model = 6310i
connection = serial
use_locking = no
serial_baudrate = 19200
smsc_timeout = 30

I have tried connection = dlr3p but this has no effect. I've seen many other posts describing similar problems but can not find a solution. Can anyone help or point me in the right direction for trouble shooting etc. I can program so quite happy to add some code if necessary.

Many thanks
Pete
